About Perle Studio
Perle studio is a recording studio, creative space, and record label founded by musicians Joe Tatton and Aoife Hearty.
Based in the beautiful Peak District countryside, Perle Studio was built during lockdown and the vision was to create an inspiring retreat for crafting music and art.
Joe Tatton
Keyboardist, Composer Producer, Audio Engineer
Joe Tatton has played with The New Mastersounds for 15 years on more than a dozen albums and also has albums and singles out with his trio. He has also performed with or recorded with The Haggis Horns, Corinne Bailey Rae, Maceo Parker, The Meters, Stuart Zender, Widespread Panic Dave Liebman and many others.
Aoife Hearty
Vocalist, Songwriter, Composer, Painter
Aoife is a singer, painter, make-up artist. As Rodina she has released 4 albums, toured the US and Europe and is also a keen artist (see the Gallery page).
Joe and Aoife first met in Leeds over 20 years ago and have been collaborating ever since. During their prolific careers they’ve toured internationally, released acclaimed albums, and worked with world-renowned artists.
Now based in the Peak District, Joe and Aoife decided to combine their expertise and build their dream studio. Perle Studio offers a peaceful and creative haven fully equipped for music production, rehearsals, art classes workshops, and more.
When not at the studio, you can find Joe and Aoife recording and performing with their shared record label, Rodina Music. The label provides a platform for their various musical projects spanning jazz, electronic, and folk genres.
At Perle Studio, music and art intersect with nature to provide a relaxing rural escape. Joe and Aoife look forward to welcoming fellow artists and musicians.
