Formed during lockdown in the beautiful Peak District near Manchester, with a shared love of close vocal harmonies and soulful acoustic grooves, Bring Me The Hearts release their eponymous debut album on October 27th on Vinyl / CD and online on Rodina Music. Featuring singer / songwriter Aoife Hearty of Rodina (“Excellent..” – Jamie Cullum) along with Joe Tatton of The New Mastersounds, Corrine Bailey Rae, Haggis Horns (“Huge Talent…” – Craig Charles) – Along with singer / guitarist Huw Jacob and drummer Matt Ryan Bring Me The Hearts songs have lush vocal harmonies on top of soulful grooves with influences ranging from Fleet Foxes & Nora Jones to the Isley Brothers. Folk and soul, infused with sweet vocal harmonies, and with a tendency to wander into dub!
“They come from around Manchester, they have made their debut album and they give us an enchanting and refined journey into folk atmospheres with a Fairport Convention flavor but also with a look at the first Jefferson Airplane, CSNY, Mamas and Papas, but with a touch of soul (Bill Withers and similar). A melancholy sunny album, albeit with Nordic flavours. A real gem.”
